Privacy policy
What we collect when you contact us, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Closed Won Media Ltd (“Makerr”, “we”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16106169, with our registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, Fifth Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF. Our registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office is ICO REGISTRATION NUMBER, IF UK.

What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the enquiry form we collect your first and last name, work email address, company name, and whatever you write in the message field. We also record that you ticked the consent box, and when.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider processes technical data needed to serve the site, which ordinarily includes IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested. Confirm exactly what the host logs and for how long.
We also use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to count visits and see which pages and links get used, for example how many people open the enquiry form. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. PostHog counts visits using an anonymised value it calculates from your IP address and browser with a key that changes every day and is then deleted, so it is not used to recognise you from one day to the next.
We do not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. If any are added, this policy must be updated and a consent mechanism added before they load — under UK and EU rules, non-essential cookies require consent before being set, not after.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us about our services.
- To send you related communications. Legal basis: consent. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect anything done before you did.
- To keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: legitimate interests in operating and protecting our own service.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract. Those currently are:
- Vercel, which hosts this website
- PostHog, which counts visits to the site without cookies, hosted in the EU
- Slack, where enquiries from the contact form are delivered to the team
- Email delivery, if enquiries are forwarded
Each of these must be named specifically, with a data processing agreement in place, before this policy is published. We may also disclose data where we are legally required to.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where that happens we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses. Confirm where each processor stores data and which safeguard applies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for RETENTION PERIOD, after which it is deleted or anonymised. If we enter into a contract with you, records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email privacy@makerr.xyz. We respond within one month.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you raised it with us first.
If you are a California resident
You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion, to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Where a change materially affects how we use data already collected, we will tell you directly.
